Save yourself a lot of money by blending up your own version of the infamous pina colada smoothie recipe! You can experiment making your own version of smoothies with this delicious fruit!
A pineapple smoothie has been one of my favorite smoothies of all time.
Usually, if I buy a fresh pineapple, I have a hard time putting it in a smoothie. I like to enjoy eating pineapple straight. For my smoothies, I prefer using frozen pineapple. Fresh is best for the nutrient value. Frozen is second. Canned comes in last. If you want to use canned, get the fruit canned in its own juice.
You would be surprised at how much pineapple nutrition is in this amazing fruit!
The main ingredients in a pina colada smoothie recipe are mangos, coconut milk, oranges, banana, and of course pineapple! You can play around with different amounts according to your taste buds. Would you like a more dominant pineapple flavor. Or perhaps mango is your flavor of choice. That is what is so awesome about making your own smoothies at home. You get to choose!
The coconut flavor blends deliciously with pineapple and mango. The benefits of coconut oil not only contains highly beneficial fat that can also be found in mother's milk, but also lauric acid for the microbial and antibacterial benefits. I would highly recommend for you to consider a coconut diet to get healthy fats into your day.
There are pina colada drink mixes that could be used in your smoothies. A mixture of juice is all those mixes are. I do not recommend this route to make your smoothies.
Juices are high in calories and low in nutrients. Juice from the store are highly filtered and put under high heat to kill bacteria. This processing destroys enzymes and essential vitamins.
Use the whole fruit to receive all the benefits of pineapple and other fruit. You will receive more fiber and a nutrient packed smoothie!
Have fun playing around with this tasty fruit! I would love to hear what recipes that you create in your own home. Show off YOUR healthy smoothie recipes!.
