1 Banana
1 c. Organic Spinach (packed)
1/2 c. Vanilla Greek Yogurt
1/2 c. Organic Coconut Milk
1/2 c. Organic Light Soy Milk
2 Tbsp. Cocoa
Stevia to taste
Place ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. This is a wonderful green smoothie for us chocolate lovers!
*DaNae's Note: Thank you so much for sharing this chocolate green smoothie! It looks very tasty! I do like that you used greek yogurt... as it has a lot of great protein. When I try this smoothie recipe I will probably add some ice or use a frozen banana. Because I usually prefer to have my smoothies cold. Thanks again for sharing!

This is probably basic recipes that most have tried, but I find myself coming to these a lot.
Favorite Green Smoothie Recipes
1 whole bushel of parsley
1-2 chopped oranges
1 banana
some water
Another I like is:
1 whole bushel of spinach
1-2 oranges or apples or both types each(1 each)
bananas
water
I first mix the greens and water briefly, then, the rest of the ingredients for about 1 minute to 2 whole minutes. Usually though a minute is enough, for a 1000 watt blender.

Here is an advanced beet top green smoothie mainly sweetened with juicy oranges. If the oranges are juicy you can get away with using less water. Using less water creates a more flavorful smoothie.
I've been trying to get more greens into my diet by using a nutrient dense green drink called Enerfood. It is mighty green tasting in plain water. But thanks to my blender... I can drink it in a tasty smoothie.
Advanced Beet Top Green Smoothie
3 oranges, peeled and seeded
1 banana, peeled (optional)
1 cup beet tops, frozen
1 cup peaches, frozen
1 tablespoon Enerfood
stevia to taste (optional)
1 cup water
Place the oranges and banana in the blender with everything on top. Blend away! It's best to drink this smoothie cold. Enjoy!

Do you remember your first green smoothie? I do!
While shopping at my local health food store here in Northern Minnesota, someone was so generously handing out samples of green smoothies. I remember that first curious, but yet nervous sip. I also remember my amazement at how deliciously hidden the greens were in the fruit smoothie. It was spinach blended into a pineapple smoothie. I was hooked from day one! That was over 5 years ago.
It sounds like Nicci has tried her first green smoothie. Exciting! She was bold enough to use arugula in her first smoothie. Way to go. Let's take a look at what other ingredients she used.
Thanks for sharing your new found enthusiasm for green smoothies! Keep it up!
Happy Blending!
