Blueberry-Cantaloupe Yogurt Smoothie Recipe
This smoothie has a very unique flavor. First you taste the blueberries, then the sweet flavor of cantaloupe follows. It turned a beautiful light purple!
1 cup plain yogurt
1/4 water
1 banana
1 cup cantaloupe, cubed and frozen
1/2 cup blueberries, frozen
1 teaspoon stevia powder or 3 dates*
5 ice cubes
Place the yogurt, water, banana, cantaloupe, blueberries, stevia, and ice in the blender with the liquids in the bottom and frozen ingredients on top. Blend until everything is completely smooth.
This yogurt smoothie recipe makes approximately 3 cups
*If you are using dates, blend the dates with the yogurt before adding the frozen ingredients. Dates tend to harden when cold and will remain as little chunks throughout the smoothie.

Someone sent us an amazing way to pack our diet with nutritious flax seeds. Flax seeds are a great way to add extra omega 3's into our smoothies.
What is "flax seed meal"? Well, meal is flax seeds ground into a powder. For most blenders, it is important to grind the seeds prior to adding them to the smoothie. Otherwise, you might be chewing on little bits of seeds while sipping on your smoothie.
I have a coffee grinder that I use for grinding seeds, nuts, and dried herbs. If you are short for time, grind enough seeds for each week and store the flax seed meal in the refrigerator.
I hope you like this smoothie recipe.
Happy Blending!
